Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Shippyar collects when you use our website and services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are
Shippyar, Inc., a Delaware corporation (San Jose, California), runs shippyar.com. When this policy says “we” or “Shippyar”, it means Shippyar, Inc.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, and a password stored only as a secure hash — or your Google sign-in, if you use it.
- Order details: the product links you send, the items, quotes, payments, and messages to support.
- Delivery details: recipient names, addresses, phone numbers, and a tax or national ID where the destination country requires one.
- Payment details: handled by Stripe. We only ever see the card brand and last four digits.
- Technical details: IP address and basic device information, used to keep you signed in and to protect accounts and payments.
3. How we use it
To buy and ship your orders; to send quotes, receipts and tracking updates; to prevent fraud and keep accounts safe; to meet our legal, tax, customs and export obligations; and to answer you when you write to us. We also email you Hot deals our team picks, now and then; you can turn them off anytime on your Account page or with the link in any deals email.
4. Who we share it with
Only what each one needs to do its job: Stripe for payments, Easyship and the carrier it books for shipping and customs paperwork, customs authorities in the destination country, the US government's Consolidated Screening List (trade.gov), which customer and recipient names are checked against as US export rules require, Resend to send our emails, Vercel and Supabase to host the site and the database, and Sentry for error reports. We never sell your data.
5. Where your data is stored
With our providers in the United States. Delivery details also travel with your shipment to the destination country, because customs needs them there.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons in section 3, then delete it or make it anonymous.
- Account details: while your account is open. When you close it, we delete them within 30 days, apart from the records below.
- Orders, payments, refunds and shipping records, including recipient details and any tax or national ID on the customs papers: 7 years after the order, because US tax and export rules require us to keep them.
- Messages to support: while your account is open, or with the order records above when they are about an order.
- Your email choices, such as having turned off Hot deals emails: kept so we keep respecting them.
7. Your choices
You can see, correct, download or delete your data by writing to support@shippyar.com, turn off Hot deals emails on your Account page, and close your account at any time. Some records must be kept for a period by law even after you close it; we tell you which.
8. Cookies
Only the ones the site needs to work: keeping you signed in, and protecting our forms from abuse with Cloudflare Turnstile. No advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Security
Every connection is encrypted, access to customer data is limited to the people who need it, passwords are stored as hashes, and card numbers never touch our servers.
10. Children
Shippyar is for adults: you must be at least 18 to create an account or place an order. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their details, write to support@shippyar.com and we will delete them.
11. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we update this page, and important changes are emailed to you. Questions: contact us or write to support@shippyar.com.
